SELIT installs large-scale photovoltaic system

Sustainable and environmentally conscious action in production and administration are important factors in SELIT’s corporate development. The installation of a photovoltaic system with a capacity of 730 kWp on the roof of the central warehouse at the Erbes-Büdesheim site is a further step by the company towards energy-efficient and sustainable production.

Almost 2,000 solar modules covering an area of 3,300 m² will reduce the company’s CO2 emissions by 460,000 kg per year.

The modules are particularly durable and long-lasting due to their reinforced frame. They can withstand pressure loads, for example from snow, of up to 6,000 kPa and wind loads of up to 5,400 kPa. In addition, comprehensive safety technology guarantees plant and operational safety.

SELIT placed particular emphasis on the visual appearance. The black, monocrystalline solar modules integrate unobtrusively into the overall appearance of the building.
