Bernd Seitner passed away

On 15 March 2021, the former head of SELIT Dämmtechnik GmbH passed away at the age of 72 after a serious illness. The father of the current managing directors Marco and Rouven Seitner, he was the second generation of the family to lead the company, developing and sustainably shaping it from 1971.

While the company initially traded in timber and operated a ready-mix concrete plant, Bernd Seitner had the right instinct for a forward-looking strategy and a high degree of innovative strength when he reorganised the company in 1980, entering the business of producing plastic for construction materials.

This is still the company’s main focus today. With its extrusion technology, it has developed into an international specialist in underlays for floating floors.
